Which of Jesus's sayings don't you understand. It really is simple. You cannot hate he who is hateful, because you will be adding to the hatered. Are his words that hidden to you. I am speaking about the give the thief your cloak also line. You can take any of his saying in two ways, this is called Metafore. The key to understanding what he says is to really know him.
I was shocked when I heard an IRS agent quoting Jesus saying the line where he said "whos superscription and image is on this coin?" Then he goes on to say "give to cezar what is cezr's and give me what is mine" Jesus was being remarkably rude to the then cezar of Rome , yet the irs agent took it to mean Jesus said "Pay your taxes" LOL. What Jesus was saying was give to Cezar that which he already has (his own image). Talk about a slap in the face.

Red........it's not that I don't understand. I just read this web page and thought it was good, someone else had sent it to me So I shared it. And yes, alot of it is Metaphorical.....sometimes too much for me. I have relied on a Christian friend of mine that helps me with scriptures that I don't understand, but I don't think I will know them all in my lifetime :)Trinity
